This class is open to everyone at all levels, whether you want to take it to the stage or just spice it up in the bedroom! Three Fates Revue focuses on creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone, which is why this class is available to all levels and types of experience, skill, and creativity! We are happy to cater to everyone's individual comfort level and needs!

Who: Classes will be taught by Three Fates Revue Stage Manager Nadia Crimson with assistance from producers Luna Lovebutton and Pepper Mint Schnapps. Nadia Crimson has been choreographing burlesque dances for years with many burlesque productions, so she knows her stuff! Three Fates Revue is a burlesque production company local to Phoenix, Arizona. We currently have burlesque shows every other third Sunday at Cruisin' 7th. Our shows for the rest of 2022 are on October 16th and December 18th. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at [email protected] :)

When: Monday's at 8:30pm starting on October 24th, 2022. A curriculum is included at the end of this description to give a detailed explanation of what the topic will be each day. We recommend signing up for the full 8-week course for full benefit of Nadia's expertise as topics may overlap and build upon one another, but we are always happy to have people do drop-ins, as well! More information on drop-ins below!

Where: Creator's Space 1497 E Baseline Rd, Ste 4-106, Gilbert AZ, 85233

Wear: Comfy clothes! Some classes will require different wearable items/props/etc. (heels, kneepads, boas, gloves, etc.). More will be detailed in the curriculum below and announcements will be made in the class Facebook group.

What to Expect: We will guide you through the basics needed to start or continue your burlesque journey, whether you are a performer or just wanting to spice it up in the bedroom! Topics we will be going over include, but are not limited to: strutting, comfort in heels, basic movement, body control, stretching, boas, gloves, chair, floorwork, etc. We will be adding you to a Facebook group so we can communicate with you if you need to bring anything!

How to Prepare: Make sure you have kneepads! Heels are not mandatory but will be a topic we will be going over. If you are differently-abled, please be sure to let us know before class begins. We want to make sure that we make as many accommodations as possible so everyone is safe and comfortable. Bring your energy and excitement (or don't, this is a safe space)! If you are doing drop-ins, please let us know ahead of time at [email protected] with which dates you plan to attend. If you are unsure, that’s also okay. Please purchase at least one “Drop-In” in the ticket link before the first class.

Drop-Ins: We are happy to have people sign up for the entire class session or just pop in for drop-ins! Drop-ins are $15/class. Payment must be received before the individual class begins. If you are doing drop-ins, please let us know ahead of time at [email protected] with which dates you plan to attend. If you are unsure, that’s also okay. Please purchase at least one “Drop-In” in the Ticketleap ticket link before the first class. After our class begins, drop-ins can be paid through this site or by Venmo or PayPal.

Please observe that we will NOT have class on 10/31 Halloween night, for Halloween is sacred (tehe). Different topics will be discussed during different sessions. A curriculum is provided below so that if you or someone you know are doing drop-ins, you can plan ahead accordingly. If you miss a session, resources and help can be provided to you individually upon request or in our Facebook Group for the class. If class needs to be canceled, we will provide a date for a rescheduled class. If you are not able to make the time(s) provided, different accommodations may be available upon request. All information, pictures, and videos on topics will be posted in the Facebook group. Please keep in mind that there will be filming in this class. If you are uncomfortable being in videos or being tagged, that's absolutely okay! Just please be sure to voice this to us in person and through email!

Curriculum:

Please bring kneepads for every class.

Week 1 - Comfort and Confidence. This class will focus on finding comfortability and confidence within ourselves/our bodies and what that means as we navigate burlesque!

Week 2 - Walking, Strutting, Heels. Please bring heels or any performance shoes. We will learn how to confidently (and safely) walk in heels (or whatever other shoes you may prefer)! We will go over warm ups, strengthening, stretches, and different ways to strut on stage. We will also be learning musicality (how to walk on a beat/feel the mood of the music) at different speeds. If you can’t wear heels, no problem! You will still benefit, just without the extra elevation :)

Week 3 - Grinding, Hits, & Bumps. Oh my! We will be expanding on musicality and putting it to action with some sexy grinding and sassy moments!

Week 4 - Teasing with Props: Boa. Owning or buying a boa for this class is not mandatory. If you have one already, great! Bring it! We will be expanding upon what to bring for this class in the Facebook group (or over email).

Week 5 - Teasing with Props: Gloves. Same as the boa class, owning a pair of gloves is not mandatory. We do recommend that students get their own gloves, as they are a staple to many burlesque costumes. We can provide links, or we can purchase some for you! Just click on “Gloves” in your Ticketleap purchase.

Week 6 - Floorwork. We will be getting up close and personal with our new bestie, the floor!

Week 7 - Burlesque Dance Combination. We will be putting together what we’ve learned in Weeks 1-6 with a fun mini solo!

Week 8 - Burlesque Dance Combination. We will be putting together what we’ve learned with a fun mini solo! This combination includes light floorwork.

We hope to see you soon!!!

If we have not clarified something enough or answered a specific question you may have, please feel free to email us at [email protected] :)
